  • How do I know if I need your services?

    If you are a caregiver or service organization that works with people with disabilities AND you feel unprepared to teach topics related to sexuality, relationships, or personal hygiene.

  • What’s the difference between sex education and sex therapy?

    Sex education provides information about sexual health and wellness, in all its  complexity. This can be accomplished in settings such as schools, medical centers, and family planning clinics. Sex therapy is when mental health professionals who are licensed, work with clients on sexual issues.

  • If I start talking about sex, won’t that encourage my child to be more curious?

    Curiosity about sexuality does not mean they will become sexually active. Most young people are already curious and if you do not provide the answers to their questions, they will find them elsewhere. Research shows that the more accurate sexuality education youth have, the safer and more thoughtful they are about their sexual choices.

  • My child has never asked me about sex or shown any interest in having a partner, do I really need to teach sex education?

    Yes! Sexuality education does not start with sex and there are tons of skills and concepts to

    cover before you discuss having a sexual experience.

  • Can I teach about sexuality when my family has traditional religious values?

    Yes! Sexuality education does not start with sex. The foundational skills needed can be taught without ever saying the word sex. And you can incorporate your family’s values into every discussion.

  • Can you teach sex ed to someone that doesn’t speak?

    Yes! Communication does not require speech. I am prepared to discuss options for folks who

    express themselves in other ways because everyone deserves to be happy, healthy, and safe.

  • Are there resources made for teaching sex education to people with intellectual disabilities?
